PACKING LIST
Consider bringing the following with you to the cottage:
✔ Sheets and pillow cases (mandatory)
- blankets, comforters and pillows are provided
- two bedrooms have queen sized beds and the third bedroom has a double bed
- there’s also a portable IKEA single foam bed mattress.
- extra blankets and pillows are located in the bedroom closets.
- the futon (lower level) & pull-up couch bed (main level) both need double sized sheets
✔ Towels, beach towels, shampoo, soap, toilet paper (and personal toiletries)
✔ Groceries (we have a fridge in the kitchen and a small extra fridge)
✔ Drinking water. Water comes from a 300 foot deep, drilled well. Water tests have shown
the water to be clean and clear, but we cannot guarantee that this will not change at some
point in the future. Please bring drinking water. We have a water cooler dispenser that
fits the large water bottles.
✔ Bug spray, hats, sunscreen
✔ Firewood for campfires (or inside burning in the winter)
✔ Dish soap, drying towels, wash cloths, dishwasher soap (we provide these items at the
beginning of the summer, and we will restock occasionally, but cannot guarantee they
will still be present when you arrive)
✔ Lifejackets (we do provide some adult PFDs)
✔ Flashlights, lawn chairs (we provide some outside seating), camera, recreation items
✔ Laundry detergent
✔ First aid kit
✔ Camera, I-pods/I-phones for docking station, VHS movies, DVD movies
✔ Fishing rods and tackle
✔ Extra beach and water toys
✔ Recreational Equipment (volleyball or beach ball to play in water, Frisbee etc.)
✔ We try to keep a number of propane tanks full and ready for you to use. There is always
a chance that we could run out just before you arrive. If you are worried about running
out of propane consider bringing your own, or be prepared to exchange our propane tanks
in Novar at the Foodland.
✔ In the winter, consider bringing slippers for your feet, for the first few hours, until the floor warms up.
